Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to share with you the second e-zine of our Erasmus+ Project “Embedding Entrepreneurship Education” (EEE) which contains articles on our project development and updates from three project alliances led by Univations (Germany), Management Center Innsbruck (Austria), and University of Szeged (Hungary).

Some of the highlights from the second quarter of the EEE project include the new collaboration agreement signed with La Trobe University, Melbourne, successful pilot testing of the EEE teaching toolkit at national and international events by Univations and Management Center Innsbruck, and the recent launch of the EEE entrepreneurship course at the University of Szeged.

EEE partnership and La Trobe University, Melbourne to collaborate in the field of entrepreneurship education

EEE partnership and La Trobe University of Melbourne, Australia have signed a MoU to collaborate in the field of entrepreneurship education. La Trobe University has recently introduced a rather progressive approach for the integration of entrepreneurship education among all its faculties. The components of innovation and entrepreneurship, global citizenship, and sustainability thinking have become part of regular course curriculum.

Second EEE partner meeting held in Szeged

April 21, 2017





Second consortium meeting of the EEE Project was hosted by the University of Szeged (SZTE), Hungary. The meeting set the platform for the project representatives to share progress on their work packages, and discuss arrangements on the pilot testing of the entrepreneurship courses in partner locations.

EEE represented at Investforum 2017

September 14, 2017





The Univations Investforum Pitch-Day 2017 took place in Halle with the attendance of 26 start-ups who successfully pitched their business models to 70 investors. Daniel Worch, CEO of Univations, and as such responsible for the event, took the chance to present the EEE project to the participating guests.

Univations pilot tests EEE teaching module at Geist 21

September 29, 2017





Univations pilot-tested one of the EEE Entrepreneurship Teaching Toolkit course modules, the business model canvas during the Entrepreneurship Summer School “Geist 21”. The event hosted a large number of participants from diverse backgrounds who have interest in new materials and the desire to found an enterprise.

The MCI BootCamp: Innolab

May 25, 2017





MCI Innolab was launched in mid-May in cooperation with EEE Project, CAST and Startup.Tirol, in Innsbruck, Tyrol. It is realised as a Boot Camp with 8 participating teams, which work together with lecturers and experts in order to learn more about commercialising inventions and starting up a company.

MCI contributes to the IECT International Summer School

August 19, 2017





27 international scientists with entrepreneurial ideas and intentions to launch a startup have participated in the program. The program was composed of lectures, courses, workshops, and mentoring sessions to help the participants turning their ideas into reality. Prof. Bernd Ebersberger of MCI has contributed to the Summer School with a session on Markets & Competition.

USZ selects 8 project ideas for the EEE course

June 20, 2017





The first round of application for the EEE course at the University of Szeged has been finalised on 31st of May. The EEE course was promoted at 12 faculties at the university and received a positive response from several media. The promotional campaign was supported by the leading economist journal in Hungary as well as by the most influential local TV and radio stations.

The EEE semester course launched at the University of Szeged

October 11, 2017





5 teams, 26 students and 10 mentors started to work on project ideas that aim to enhance higher entrepreneurial endeavours in the region. The EEE course was promoted at 12 faculties at the University of Szeged, and it received positive responses from several influential media in the region.
